Alberto Castañeda Mondragón
Alberto Castañeda Mondragón, a Mexican immigrant and father, suffered severe head injuries after his arrest by immigration officers in Minnesota. He was hospitalized with eight skull fractures and multiple brain hemorrhages, leaving his memory disoriented and some moments with his daughter difficult to recall. While parts of his past feel distant, he remembers the violence clearly.
His story reflects the lasting human impact of immigration enforcement, where physical harm and memory loss extend beyond the moment of detention and into the life that remains.
For the clearest detail and strongest finished piece, I recommend using cardstock and a cutting machine. Cardstock provides the stability needed to hold the fine lines and structure of the design.
