This piece fuses mid-century modern clarity with a futurist edge to imagine the female form beyond the present moment. The figure’s segmented body and doubled eyes hint at both continuity and disruption, an echo of ancient sculpture recast as a vision of tomorrow. By reducing the form to planes of black and white thread, I explore how identity is built from memory, technology, and architecture.
By posing questions about what it means to be female in the future, the work invites viewers to consider continuity and change. Will the fight for women’s rights persist, and how will definitions of femininity evolve? Using thread as both line and texture, the piece bridges past and future, craft and speculation, creating a bold, tactile portrait of transformation.
